lyrics
The sun was completely disappeared. It was the dead of summer, and the forest’s thick green canopy completely blocked out the sky. A steep mountain path wended upwards through the greenery. Upon this path ascended two girls.
Renko Usami led the way. Behind her by several paces followed Maribel Hearn.
“How much further?” Maribel asked, nearly out of breath. Neither of them were prepared for the humid summer heat, much less the steepness of the path they were on.
“I don’t know, Merry,” said Renko. “The guide didn’t provide a total distance.”
“Even if we get to the top,” said Merry, “we won’t be able to see anything through all the trees.”
“The guide said it’s a sacred mountain,” said Renko, “so there’s probably a shrine at the top.”
“What guide was this again?”
“It wasn’t Naturalis Historia, that’s for sure.”
The woods around them seemed ordinary, but Merry was used to finding the weirdness in seemingly ordinary places. An air of foreboding hung about the place. On either side of the path, Merry would notice strange items littered in the vegetation—unopened containers of food, discarded articles of clothing, a cast-iron frying pan, a single boot.
“Why do these woods give me an eerie feeling?” Merry said. “Is this really a sacred mountain?”
“You noticed it too?” said Renko. “Apparently, the mountain itself is sacred, but the forest around it has some stories associated with it.”
“Does that sound familiar…” said Merry.
“I think we’re getting close to the top,” said Renko. “Nothing to do but keep upon the path.”
And there was nothing to do but keep upon the path.

I had heard you guys' songs mixed into a few Touhou metal mixes, but Deceiver was the one that really caught my ear. I listened to it steadily on and off for about 3 days. Keep doing your thing, rock on! Will Shirley
